Roofing Built to Outlast Florida
Hurricane-rated residential and commercial roofing — installation, replacement, and storm repair. Engineered for South Florida wind loads, installed under the Florida Building Code by a licensed general and roofing contractor.
A Roof is Structural Work
In South Florida, a roof is more than a covering — it's the structural component that decides how your building handles hurricane winds, driving rain, and decades of UV. Most roofing companies treat it as a single trade. We treat it as part of the building envelope, the way a general contractor does.
MTC General Contractors has been delivering commercial and residential construction across South Florida for years. Our roofing division applies the same discipline: licensed oversight, code-compliant installation, permitted work, and a single point of accountability from inspection to warranty.
- General contractor accountability One licensed firm owns the work — no subcontractor handoffs, no warranty confusion.
- Florida Building Code, every project Permits pulled, inspections coordinated, wind-zone uplift compliance documented.
- Storm response priority Existing MTC clients move to the front of the line after a named storm. Tarp-up and emergency repair available.
- Manufacturer-backed warranties Up to 50-year material warranties from GAF, Owens Corning, and other certified manufacturers on qualifying systems.

South Florida is full of roofing companies that appear after a hurricane and vanish before the warranty matters. We are not one of them.
Before You Sign Anything
For an average single-family home in South Florida, a shingle re-roof takes 2–4 working days from tear-off to final cleanup. Metal and tile roofs typically run 4–10 days depending on size and complexity. Commercial flat roofs vary widely with square footage and access — we provide a firm schedule in your proposal.
We don't act as a public adjuster, but we document damage thoroughly — photos, drone imagery, written scope — and coordinate directly with your insurance adjuster on-site. This documentation has helped clients get claims approved at fair value without becoming the adjuster's adversary.
In every South Florida jurisdiction, yes — any roof replacement requires a permit, wind-uplift compliance, and a municipal inspection. We pull the permit in our name as the licensed contractor of record, and we coordinate every required inspection. If a roofing company offers to skip the permit, walk away.
Two warranties in writing. First, the manufacturer's material warranty — typically 25–50 years depending on the system, with full coverage levels available when we install a complete manufacturer-certified system. Second, MTC's workmanship warranty on the installation itself. Both are documented, transferable on most systems, and backed by a licensed insured Florida firm.
