Why Roofing, Why MTC

A Roof is Structural Work

In South Florida, a roof is more than a covering — it's the structural component that decides how your building handles hurricane winds, driving rain, and decades of UV. Most roofing companies treat it as a single trade. We treat it as part of the building envelope, the way a general contractor does.

MTC General Contractors has been delivering commercial and residential construction across South Florida for years. Our roofing division applies the same discipline: licensed oversight, code-compliant installation, permitted work, and a single point of accountability from inspection to warranty.

  • General contractor accountability One licensed firm owns the work — no subcontractor handoffs, no warranty confusion.
  • Florida Building Code, every project Permits pulled, inspections coordinated, wind-zone uplift compliance documented.
  • Storm response priority Existing MTC clients move to the front of the line after a named storm. Tarp-up and emergency repair available.
  • Manufacturer-backed warranties Up to 50-year material warranties from GAF, Owens Corning, and other certified manufacturers on qualifying systems.

How We Work

From Inspection to Final Warranty

A structured five-step process — every project, residential or commercial. No surprises, no shortcuts.

01
Inspection
On-site assessment, photo documentation, drone imagery when access requires it. Existing roof condition, decking, flashing, ventilation.
02
Proposal
Written quote with system options, materials, manufacturer warranties, timeline, and a fixed price. No vague allowances.
03
Permits
We pull the permit, file wind-uplift calculations, and schedule municipal inspections. Documented compliance from day one.
04
Installation
Tear-off, deck repair, underlayment, and system install by trained crews. Daily site cleanup. Most residential roofs in 2–4 days.
05
Warranty
Final inspection, photo documentation, manufacturer warranty registration, and our workmanship guarantee in writing.

Why MTC for Roofing

Built by a GC, Not a Storm-Chaser

South Florida is full of roofing companies that appear after a hurricane and vanish before the warranty matters. We are not one of them.

Licensed GC & Roofing Contractor
CGC 1528440 and CCC 1333974 — a state-licensed general contractor and certified roofing contractor, not a one-trade storm vendor. Your roof is permitted and warrantied under the same accountability standard.
On Schedule, In Writing
Fixed-price proposals, defined start and finish dates, weekly progress updates. The same project-management rigor we use on multi-million-dollar GC jobs.
Warranties That Hold
Manufacturer material warranties up to 50 years, plus a written MTC workmanship guarantee. Backed by a licensed firm with insurance and a permanent Florida address.
Common Questions

Before You Sign Anything

For an average single-family home in South Florida, a shingle re-roof takes 2–4 working days from tear-off to final cleanup. Metal and tile roofs typically run 4–10 days depending on size and complexity. Commercial flat roofs vary widely with square footage and access — we provide a firm schedule in your proposal.

We don't act as a public adjuster, but we document damage thoroughly — photos, drone imagery, written scope — and coordinate directly with your insurance adjuster on-site. This documentation has helped clients get claims approved at fair value without becoming the adjuster's adversary.

In every South Florida jurisdiction, yes — any roof replacement requires a permit, wind-uplift compliance, and a municipal inspection. We pull the permit in our name as the licensed contractor of record, and we coordinate every required inspection. If a roofing company offers to skip the permit, walk away.

Two warranties in writing. First, the manufacturer's material warranty — typically 25–50 years depending on the system, with full coverage levels available when we install a complete manufacturer-certified system. Second, MTC's workmanship warranty on the installation itself. Both are documented, transferable on most systems, and backed by a licensed insured Florida firm.

Yes — Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties are our primary service area, with our office in Hollywood, FL. We also take projects in Monroe and the Treasure Coast on a case-by-case basis. The further the drive, the more it makes sense for larger projects.
